"Venus: Minako's Nurse Mayhem" is the 32nd episode of the 2nd season of the Sailor Moon anime, and the 78th episode overall. It aired in Japan on December 18, 1993. The DiC English dub title for this episode is "No Thanks, Nurse Venus!" and it aired in North America on December 7, 1998.

Summary

Esmeraude releases a flu-like virus into Tokyo that makes everyone sick except, strangely, Minako and Chibiusa, who decide to take care of Usagi and the Tsukino residence.

Plot

There is a cold going around Tokyo, though Minako is the only one to not be sick. Minako takes care of Rei and the other Sailor Senshi when they are sick, going to Usagi's house after. Minako accidentally blows up Rei's boombox and serves her salty porridge, though the other girls are unable to warn Usagi before Minako already arrives to "help" with Chibiusa, being the only members in Usagi's family who are not sick. Usagi becomes dizzy and passes out but finds Minako properly taking care of her. Minako admits that she cares for Usagi not only because she's the Princess, but because she is Minako's close friend. Usagi recovers and they find out the cold going around was a plot by Esmeraude. She tries to forcibly give Chibiusa a needle with her Droid, though Minako stops her, feigning she figured out Esmeraude's entire plan. Minako is saved by the other Sailor Senshi, who have recovered thanks to her care; however, Minako winds up sick in the end (and gave it to Artemis), with Usagi feeding her salty porridge like she was forced to eat. Minako cries in exasperation as the episode ends.

When Minako suggests putting on some music, Chibiusa's left arm briefly has two sleeves on it. This also happens when Minako and Chibiusa enter the room.
While the DiC/CWi dub of the series changed Minako's name to "Mina," her apron was unchanged as it shows her original name of "Minako" when she serves Rei porridge at the start of the episode.
This episode had gained a lot of attention from the media around March 2020 because some people believe one of the scenes may have predicted the COVID-19 pandemic.
