Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower in the Shibakoen district, Minato-ku ward, Tokyo, Japan. It is a relatively short distance (and a non-stop subway ride) from Usagi's hometown of Azabu-Juban.
It commonly appears in the background in some scenes due to its proximity to Juban, appearing several times in the manga, anime and Crystal.

Especially in the 90s anime, it is often featured in numerous background shots of the city, as it is relatively close to Azabu-Juuban.

It took prominence in Usagi in Tears: A Glass Slipper for My Birthday and its following episode, After Kaolinite successfully removed Usagi's Pure Heart Crystal, she challenged the latter to come to Tokyo Tower (after briefly losing the Crystal) in order to save Tuxedo Mask. Thanks to Sailor Venus' use of the Disguise Pen, Usagi was able to prevent her secret identity from being exposed. However, when Usagi did arrive, Kaolinite and her Daimon Cenicienta attacked the girls. Although Cenicienta was defeated, Kaolinite injected herself with the Daimon's DNA and challenged the Sailor Senshi (including Uranus and Neptune) to a battle on the roof. Despite the Outers wishing to simply leave, they ultimately stayed and helped defeat Kaolinite, who had her own attack reflected at her. Kaolinite was encased in glass and falling rubble destroyed the walkway she was standing on, killing her. After this, the Sailor Senshi escaped and returned home.
