Haruka competes and wins in a motocross race. Michiru was in the audience of course, as well as the inner senshi and Mamoru. After the race, they all go to congratulate Hakura, however they're interrupted by the other competitors who say women don't belong on a motocross track. Haruka detests saying gender shouldn't matter, and as the competitors advance Mamoru steps in. The second place winner; Yamada; appears to diffuse the situation, saying that they'll win the next race. Michiru notes that Yamada is very passionate about motocross and may have a pure heart, so she decides to keep an eye on him.
On their way to the bus stop, Usagi is distracted by a vendor and gets seperated from the inner senshi and Mamoru, missing their bus. The senshi are worried but Mamoru reassures them Usagi can make it home by herself. Usagi checks the bus schedule, and Haruka pulls up on her bike, offering Usagi a ride. She accepts, however as soon as they leave they're followed by two of the other competitors in a bus, tailing behind recklessly, so Haruka cuts off the road into the woods. The competitors stop, looking for Haruka, who jumps out from a bush and defeats the competitors with two swift kicks.
Kaolinite locates Yamada, releasing a daimon egg into his bike as Michiru watched from afar. Meanwhile, Haruka's bikes spark plugs had burnt out, leaving her bike inoperable. Michiru contacts Haruka informing her of the daimon, so Haruka points Usagi toward the next bus stop. Usagi decides to find out what's happening and follows Haruka. Kaolinite takes Yamada's pure crystal heart and Sailor Neptune reveals herself, attacking Kaolinite with Deep Submerge. She confirms it's not a talisman and returns it to Yamada. Kaolinite gets up and tells Neptune she doesn't care about the talisman and was actually waiting for her all along. The Tire Daimon duplicates itself and the two tires tie Neptune to a tree.
Haruka arrives and begins fighting the Daimons, meanwhile Usagi arrives but stays hidden, transforming to Sailor Moon in the woods. Kaolinite warns Uranus not to fight, threatening Neptune with a knife, but Sailor moon uses Moon Tiara Action to cut the rope, revealing herself and claiming to be on neither side, but that fights should be fair and she can't forgive either for using dirty tricks. She advises Uranus to get Neptune out of there, who responds saying she never asked for her help. Kaolinite notes that they have no teamwork, and orders the Daimons to cuff the two together. Neptune advises Uranus to run so their mission can eventually be completed, to which she abides, but as they start to leave Neptune is thrown off the cliff into a waterfall by Kaolinite. Sailor Moon tries to go after her, but is dragged off into the woods with Uranus due to the cuffs. The Daimons chase after them but they manage to escape into a nearby cave.
In the cave, Sailor Moon asks if Uranus is just going to abandon Neptune. Uranus says they'll be killed if they go back out cuffed to one another, and explains that her and Neptune made a promise that if they're separated in danger to not go after the other, because they have a greater mission of finding the talismans. Sailor moon asks what's so important about the talismans, and Uranus explains if they're not located the whole world will be destroyed. So even if it costs a few lives, it's a worthy mission, regardless of how tragic it may be. Meanwhile, Kaolinite searches for Neptune in the waterfall.
Back in the cave, Sailor Mooni notices Uranus is bleeding, and tends to her wound, saying she can't ignore someone in need of help. Uranus admits she used to think Sailor Moon was obnoxious, but her opinion's changed now. They're interrupted by the Daimons, so they run back to the cliff to look for Neptune.
As they near the cliff, Kaolinite notices they're much more in sync with each other, and they manage to cut the chain binding them together with an attack from the Daimons. Kaonlinite spots Neptune in the water, but Sailor Moon attacks and incapacitates Kaolinite as she jumps down. Uranus attacks and defeats one of the tire Daimons, and Sailor Moon subsequently defeats the other with Moon Spiral Heart Attack. The Daimon, exorcised, turns back into the bike, and Kaolinite retreats.
Sailor Uranus tells Sailor Moon she has more respect for her now, and goes down to help Sailor Neptune. Neptune asks why Uranus took such a risk to save her. She responds that Sailor Moon was the one who saved her, as the camera pans up to Sailor Moon, standing atop the cliff.
