Tiger's Eye is one of the members of the Amazon Trio, sent by the Amazoness Quartet to destroy the Sailor Guardians. This is the original depiction of the character created by Naoko Takeuchi.

In his human form, Tiger's Eye appeared as a young man with long, shoulder-length, orange hair and brown eyes. He wore a white tanktop with black shoulder pads, and long white gloves that reach up to his shoulders. For pants he wore a black swimsuit-like bottom, tiger-striped leggings, and tall black boots. His accessories include a large red headband, rectangle earrings, a yellow and white beaded necklace, a bracelet, multiple rings on his fingers, and two streaks of paint, one red and one blue, under his left eye.

Tiger's Eye is the second member of the Amazon Trio to be sent out, appearing in Act 39. He was originally a tiger until the Amazoness Quartet turned him into a human in order to work for them and the Dead Moon Circus.

In Act 41, his intended target is Rei Hino, also known as Sailor Mars. Rei becomes trapped in a house of mirrors, and is confronted by a smaller version of herself, which says that it is the "real" Rei. The smaller version of herself says that she is unhappy that her friends are limiting her, and that she must seek out happiness for herself. The younger version of herself says that she has even found a man - and then kisses Tiger's Eye. Rei realizes that this is trick and uses her ofuda on the mirror, banishing the image and returning to her real reflection. Tiger's Eye, in his tiger form, goes to PallaPalla, who calls him a fool. The younger version of Rei appears again, but the real Rei refuses to listen and tries to transform. She is unable to transform, and collapses to the floor. PallaPalla sends Tiger's Eye again, telling him to devour her body and soul. When he goes to do so, Rei's crows, Phobos and Deimos, chase him away and throw their feathers at him. Phobos and Deimos transform into their sprite forms and awaken her. She then transforms into Sailor Mars and destroys Tiger's Eye with Mars Flame Sniper.

At one point, Tiger's Eye tried to trap Pegasus using a cage set up by Hawk's Eye, but this failed, as Pegasus went through the cage like an optical illusion. At another point, he sent a Lemure named Hebihanabiko into Pegasus to enter the dreams of the one whose dreams he was hiding inside, which turned out to be Chibiusa. Fortunately, Tiger's Eye left before he could see Chibiusa fall asleep as a result. However, this plan failed, and Hebihanabiko was destroyed.

Four of Tiger's Eye's targets were Rei, Minako, Ami, and Makoto. He and Hawk's Eye competed over who got to see into Minako's dreams, but eventually they both did. While going after Makoto, Tiger's Eye left Fish Eye to deal with the Sailor Senshi when they arrived to stop him.

Soon, Zirconia revealed to them that they were originally a tiger, a hawk, and a fish, and that they had a queen, Queen Nehellenia. After Zirconia thought (from Fish Eye saying he knew who the holder of Pegasus was) that it was Usagi's dreams who Pegasus was hiding inside, she sent Hawk's Eye after Usagi. Fish Eye attempted to stop him so Tiger's Eye went after him and held him back. He and Hawk's Eye soon found out from Fish Eye that Usagi was Sailor Moon. Then, Mr. Magic Pierrot, a Remless sent by PallaPalla of the Amazon Quartet (who were under orders from Zirconia to eliminate the Amazon Trio) attacked them. After Mr. Magic Pierrot killed Hawk's Eye, Tiger's Eye and Fish Eye attacked him, but he countered their attacks, turning Tiger's Eye's whip into a snake. They decided that the only way to beat him and avenge Hawk's Eye's death (and possibly obtain true human forms) was to give up the power that made them human to restore Usagi's dream mirror (which Mr. Magic Pierrot had destroyed). Once they did this, the orb that transformed them was shattered, killing Tiger's Eye and Fish Eye (though they survived for a while, and died after Mr. Magic Pierrot was destroyed). After his death he was turned back into a tiger. Pegasus restored the three of them to life and returned them to human forms, giving them their own dream mirrors. Tiger's Eye, along with Hawk's Eye and Fish Eye, vanished with Pegasus into a crystal forest in Pegasus' dream world, Elysion.
