The ending scene of the last episode of the 3rd season did leave off on a cliffhanger. I really want to see more of the Sailor Moon Crystal. And Seriously? 2030? That's like 12 years from now. We can't wait that long. Hopefully they will have news about it within the next 8 months. C'mon studios of the Sailor Moon Crystal. Come out with news soon for Season 4. Everyone is dying to find out what will happen next.
honestly when SolarMiko was talking about the cliffhanger at the end of season 3 I think that it could be pegasus, why I would think that is because of the bell, in the orginal anime, when chibiusa used the attack, "Twinkle Yell" it made like a bell noise so that's what i've been thinking about the cliffhanger in the end.

That is certainly a very good guess. A nice ease of transition into the next story (that is taking a while to produce).
So what about what is technically season 4 of SM Crystal... like when are those movies coming out? Also... Do you guys think after the movies come out, they will add them on hulu and then continue making seasons? I feel like hhaving season 4 essentially be two movies is just weird.
I agree with you Lukeman927. It has been quite a on updates happening to Sailor Moon News.com. I have a suggestion though of a other way of you could get the latest news on Sailor Moon. Do you have a gmail account? There is a method of how you can daily news about Sailor Moon.
Google Alerts come in handy in a variety of situations, and they're easy to set:#Go to google.com/alerts in your browser.
Enter the search term "Sailor Moon" for the topic you want to track. ...
Choose Show Options to narrow the alert to a specific source, language, and/or region. ...
Sadly, this is nothing new. In fact, the news on June 30th (Usagi's b-day) about Kazuko Tadano being the character designer for the movies, was just a little tiny bit of news to continue to string fans along to stay interested in Crystal and hold out hope that it will be out soon..
Sorry if I sound bitter. I just went through this whole ordeal back when Crystal was first announced and it feels like history is repeating itself (only this time, for my most favored arc from the manga).
I hope so. I really am looking forward to it when it is finished. But my expectations as far as release date is just a little firther in the future. However, I understand if it takes time to make it better for fans.
Is there going to be a fourth season? With the lack of information on the subject after all this time, I'm guessing there isn't going to be due to low viewership.
Such a shame. Where others likely sigh with disappointment thinking about Crystal, I sigh with satisfaction, and if there is any disappointment it's that it's not getting a fourth season. You just don't see animes like this anymore that aren't shy about killing their villains off. Even a lot of the more mature animes seem to avoid it now, be it R-rated ones like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure or PG-13 ones like Dragonball Super. With so many family-friendly disintegrations, MLP could learn from Crystal. (They don't kill as many villains, and when they do they make it kinda graphic, from six evil clones shrivelling and melting to the Storm King turning to stone and shattering. Even Beryl's No Immortal Inertia wasn't too graphic)
But that was probably everyone's primary complaint, how "disposable" the villains were. That is one of the things that disappointed fans about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It just feels so... niche to my style, like Inuyasha and the first season of Digimon.
Update: They're talking about doing a two-part film of it and releasing it in 2019. (Hopefully that'll be cheaper than seasons of it, and keep the Amazon Trio and Nehelenia's fates the same as the manga)
Researched the manga, so sounds like the Amazon Trio are kinda MotW's like the Witches 5 and the Spectre Sisters, plus two manga-exclusive ones Xenotime and Zeolite to be killed by Sailor Venus (though as Sailor Mercury's attacks are non-lethal, Sailor Moon has to kill Fish Eye in her place, looking forward to that if we get to see it. Where the Amazon Quartet are there most of the time, are imprisoned before the final battle and reformed after Nehelenia's death.
It does sound like a few chapters where not a lot happens. If a movie, hopefully abridges it (that'd be roughly the equivalent of four episodes per film). Keeping in the Sailor Guardians' upgrades and deaths of the Amazon Trio, Xenotime and Zeolite, then the big battle at the end. They might even specify Zirconia's fate or vaporize Nehelenia up front, who knows? (though Pharaoh 90 died offscreen, but he had to be returned to his world for Earth to be spared his fate)
They've confirmed to make Season 4 a two-part film for a while now. And as for the date, there's been speculations all over as to when it would be released. We're coming up on year three since the conclusion of season 3.
But wait, how far apart will the films be spaced? And how long between the Japanese version and English dub? (I guess the Japanese one will be summarized and tell me first if it'll be worth watching)
Also, that announcement was 2017 and we haven't gotten any updates since, so it may have been cancelled. I read Crystal did get negative reviews - not for the reason I guessed, but for fast pacing and animation errors. (Though I like a show that's fast-paced. Not too fast-paced to be able to tell what's going on like Transporter, but Crystal seemed just right for me, but obviously not for everyone else)
At this point I'm thinking they cancelled it. They probably just don't think they can profit from it due to low viewership. (It probably also doesn't help that they overcharge for anime, putting people off from wanting to get it, and I'm not trying any more anime except maybe Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood if it's on Netflix, plus I was a little disappointed with the quality of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. Though I will get Season 4 if there is one, but having LOWER prices is a far more effective strategy for making money, especially since it's pretty simple once they've got the episodes made, putting them to DVD repeatedly is a snap after that)
Well, thinking back to when Crystal was first announced, and when it was actually released, it took a time span of three years. We're coming up to year three since the end of the third season. And last year they announced a staff member who joined. I think that unless we hear no news by June 30th, assume the project is still ongoing.
Plus it took KH3 waaaaaay longer to be released, so three years is nothing, by comparison.
I didn't say they definitely did, I just THINK they did, and explained the likely reason IF. That was a little harsh. I know, you really want to see this, I can sympathize with you as one of the only other two people in the world who like Crystal, and I think it'd be pretty cool too (aside from the Amazon Quartet, I'm not a huge fan of them, but even a male Fish Eye could be cool if done right, kinda like Zoisite, and a definitive death for Nehelenia, since I can't figure out exactly how she "disappears" in the manga, but I'd love one for her coz she felt like a very compelling villain). Plus Pegasus, and Sailor Moon's finishing move
