Plot[]
With the Amazoness Quartet imprisoned as punishment for trying to take Pegasus from her, Nehelenia gives Zirconia orders to do away with both them and the Sailor Senshi while she deals with Super Sailor Chibi Moon. Summoning her Golden Dream Mirror, Nehelenia orders Pegasus out of it under threat of shattering it and destroying her dreams if he doesn't. Pegasus complies, but faced with either Chibiusa's dreams being destroyed or giving Nehelenia what she wants in the Golden Crystal once he reunites his heart with his body, Pegasus surrenders and reunites with his body, becoming Helios again. As Nehelenia has her fun torturing Helios and Chibi Moon to get the Golden Crystal, the other Sailor Senshi are dealing with Zirconia as she creates multiple copies of herself to confuse them while she attacks them.
However, Mercury realizes which one is the real one thanks to Zircon, and attacks with Mercury Aqua Rhapsody, breaking Zirconia's illusion. Around this time, the Amazoness Quartet, watching from their dimensional prison, are actually cheering on the Senshi as they beat Zirconia. With her powers overcome, Zirconia summons the Quartet from their imprisonment, but when they offer to deal with the Senshi, Zirconia reveals she intends to use them to power herself up and entraps them as she siphons their power to use against the Senshi. Trapped, the Quartet feel they are doomed, until the Senshi encourage them to destroy the orbs that provide their power and eternal youth. Though they are worried about giving up their eternal childhood in the process, the Quartet are convinced by the Senshi that they can create new dreams for themselves as they grow older. Trusting in themselves, the Quartet shatter their orbs and free themselves. Outnumbered by the Senshi and Amazoness Quartet, Zirconia retreats.
Meanwhile, Nehelenia finally attains the Golden Crystal, despite Chibi Moon's pleas to spare him, and when Zirconia reports in her failure with the Senshi and the Quartet, Nehelenia tells her that she's dismissed as she has no further use for her as she finally emerges from her mirror, causing Zirconia to vanish as she was a reflection of Nehelenia. With Nehelenia free, she unleashes her power on the Earth, and as the eclipse of the Dead Moon becomes complete, dozens of Dead Moon Circus tents begin to descend on Tokyo.

Changes[]
Changes From the Manga[]
- In the manga, the Golden Crystal was sealed deep inside Mamoru's body and Super Sailor Moon was the only one who could break the seal for him to utilize its full strength and power. It was Endymion's very own mystical Crystal, as the Silver Crystal is Serenity's.
- The Amazoness Quartet never destroyed their Amazon Stones in the manga. The four Amazon Guardians' were asleep inside the magic orbs; due to an evil curse, Queen Nehellenia had placed on them long ago. After the Queen was defeated, at the request of Eternal Sailor Saturn, Neo-Queen Serenity used her immensely strong healing abilities from the mystical Eternal Tiare to lift the evil curse on them and turn back into Eternal Sailor Guardians.
