Tesuni is a tennis-themed Youma owned by Nephrite. She possessed Rui Saionji's tennis racket in order to steal her energy.
Nomenclature and Etymology[]
Tesuni is a reordering of the Japanese syllables for the word "tennis" (テニス).
Appearance[]
She has pale white skin with blonde hair, and seems to wear a dark blue/black uniform with gold bracelets. She has a red pendant in the center of her torso and her shoulders are covered by a red collar-like item. She holds a tennis racket made of fire/energy with a black ball in the center.
Powers[]
While still possessing Rui, right before the Youma emerged, she displayed an interesting power; she appeared to tunnel wind through her racket and whip it into a strong current that knocked Usagi and Naru aside, the latter falling unconscious.
As Tesuni, her main power were her energy-formed tennis balls. After Sailor Moon was hit by one, her body was turned into an enormous tennis ball, save for her limbs and head. She also seemed able to control Usagi in this form, lifting her into the air and bouncing her around the court.
Later energy-formed tennis balls were shown to make an explosion when they missed.
She was also able to shoot fireballs ranging from ball-sized to enormous, one of which nearly killed Usagi.
Information[]
Her essence was implanted into the tennis racquet of Rui Saionji as part of Nephrite's plan to gather energy for the Dark Kingdom Once Rui reached her maximum energy potential, Tesuni appeared from the racquet and drained her of her energy. When Sailor Moon arrived to help the girl, Tesuni trapped her inside a giant tennis ball. Tuxedo Mask arrived and distracted the Youma by striking her with his cane, which allowed him to free Sailor Moon.
Tesuni attempted to attack again, but Tuxedo Mask threw a rose that struck the Youma in the face. Sailor Moon took advantage of the opportunity and destroyed Tesuni with Moon Tiara Action.
