Say the Magic Word (Sag das Zauberwort) is the first opening theme of the German dub of Sailor Moon performed by the group Anime Allstars with Tina Bichlmeir (formerly known as Hierstetter) as singer. Unlike the romantic Moonlight Legend, this song is happy hardcore and extolls the virtues of Sailor Moon. It was produced and written by Andreas Knote and Manfred Schuster. Andreas Knote also produced the German ending and some of the songs that were released on The Superhits for Kids compilations. It is one of the few opening songs of the international dubs which did not use the same melody as "Moonlight Legend". It was reused in the Dutch dub under the name Zeg het Toverwoord and in Croatia it was also used and sung by a male singer. When Sailor Moon switched from ZDF to the TV channel RTL 2, the opening song was changed to Kämpfe Sailor Moon by Super Moonies and later to Macht des Mondes also by Super Moonies, only the Austrian tv channel ORF 1 continued to use Sag das Zauberwort at that time.

- The song is called "Sag das Zauberwort", but in the past it was often just called "Sailormoon".
- The singer Tina Bichlmeir was in the German band "Wind". She also sang the German ending, the ballad version of Sag das Zauberwort.
- Since 2019, the song has been available on all common music services such as Spotify and Apple Music in the album "Anime Hits 7", also with the German ending song. On Spotify it has already collected 6 million streams since then.
- Anime Allstars performed the German opening/ending and insert songs for well-known anime like Sailor Moon, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Detective Conan, Inuyasha, Digimon, Pokémon, Pretty Cure, Ranma 1/2 and many more and they were also released on official soundtracks and on the so-called "Anime Hits" albums.
- In the Russian dub, the German footage of the opening was adopted, but they used Moonlight Legend in an instrumental version as the music.
- On the first German DVD release of Sailor Moon in 2013, the song Sag das Zauberwort and the ending song were used on all episodes of each season and no other opening was used. The VHS versions released in the 90s always had Kämpfe Sailor Moon by Super Moonies as the opening.
