Saori is a character who only appeared in Sailor Moon SuperS. She went to school and university with Mamoru and had a crush on him but didn't realise that their friend Kobayashi had a crush on her. Thinking that Usagi wasn't a serious girlfriend to him she planned to confess her love with a present of a tie. When she was targeted by Dream Mirror she witnessed the fight between Usagi and Mamoru and a Lemures. Sailor Moon got in the way of a Lemures attack so Mamoru wouldn't get hurt and he called out his nickname for her (Usako) worrying that she was going to die. Saori decided that she couldn't compete with Sailor Moon and her strong love for Mamoru so she gave the tie to Kobayashi instead.

-She was one of [[Tiger's Eye|Tiger's Eye's ]][[Dream Mirror]] targets, so she became a spectator to one of [[Super Sailor Moon|Super Sailor Moon's battles]] with a [[Lemures]]. During this battle Mamoru was almost attacked but Super Sailor Moon threw herself in the Lemures' path to protect him. Mamoru, fearful for Super Sailor Moon's life, called out his nickname for her (Usako). Saori not only realized that Usagi was Super Sailor Moon, but she saw how strong Usagi and Mamoru's love really was. She then decided to give the tie to Kobayashi instead, saying that there was no way she could win against the girl who protected peace all over the world.
