Princess Serenity lived in the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millennium as the daughter of Queen Serenity, who ruled the Silver Millennium and watched over the Earth. This is the first live-action depiction of the original manga character.


Princess Serenity first appeared during a flashback in the first musical, Gaiden Dark Kingdom Fukkatsu Hen, and its revision. She fell in love with Prince Endymion despite the fact that the Moon and Earth people fought with each other. In the musical Last Dracul Saishuu Shou - Chou Wakusei Death Vulcan no Fuuin, Usagi appeared in her Princess Serenity guise after the final battle against Death Vulcan. Princess Serenity also appeared while on Nemesis in Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady. Princess Serenity was mentioned in the musicals in which Queen Beryl appeared: Eien Densetsu and its revision, Shin Densetsu Kourin, and Starlights - Ryuusei Densetsu and its revision. he was also important to the backstory of Kaguya Island and its revision, and Shin Kaguya Shima Densetsu and its revision. She recently appeared in La Reconquista and as a baby in a flashback in Armour Eternal.


In the musicals Princess Serenity was played by Anza Ooyama, Miyuki Kanbe, and Satomi Okubo.
