Nekonneru is a Daimon who was sent by Kaolinite to extract Pure Hearts. She appeared in Episode 2 of Sailor Moon S.
Nomenclature and Etymology[]
The "Neko" part of her name means "cat" (猫). The "neru" part of her name means "sleep" (寝る). With these two parts taken into consideration, her name could be a pun on "cat-nap".
Appearance[]
She has the appearance of a humanoid purple cat wearing a white, polka-dotted dress. As her Daimon pod was implanted in a puzzle, she appears to be made of puzzle pieces whenever she takes damage. Her tail can stretch and she often chokes or whips her enemies with it.
Information[]
Kaolinite sent Nekonneru to extract a Pure Heart from a girl named Miharu who takes care of kittens. Just as she extracted the Pure Heart, she was attacked by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, who left afterwards despite knowing Nekonneru was still alive. Nekonneru defeated the rest of the Sailor Guardians and strangled Usagi (who was unable to transform) with her tail, before Tuxedo Mask arrives to fight her. When all seemed lost, the power of the love between Usagi and Mamoru restored her transformation power and gave her the Spiral Heart Moon Rod, and Sailor Moon destroyed Nekonneru with Moon Spiral Heart Attack.

- She is the first Daimon to be defeated by Sailor Moon.
- Unlike most of Kaolinite's and Eudial's Daimon eggs upon defeat, Nekonneru's Daimon egg emits a high-pitched yowl upon breaking open instead of a mischievous giggle.
