In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Motoki is a turtle fanatic, who spends time obsessing over his pets. Unlike in the manga or anime, Motoki was rather goofy, he went on a date with Usagi, Rei, Mamoru and another friend from college, during the date he faints and is rescued by Makoto. As she reflected in his selfless act in saving her life from a youma in her civilian form, Makoto realized the true extent of his feelings for her. In the Special Act, he and Makoto are dating. They show concern when Usagi and Mamoru call off their wedding for unknown reasons. Motoki eventually proposes to her after catching the bouquet.
