"Moon Gorgeous Meditation" is a moonlight/mirror-based attack that Super Sailor Moon uses to destroy enemies in the Dream arc of the manga, the 4th season of the anime, and in some of the musicals and video games.

In order to perform this attack, Sailor Moon must use the Moon Kaleido Scope in order to shoot a powerful rainbow blast along with shattered glass-shaped energy bursts. Enemies affected by this attack are shown in a flashing background, similar to that of a mirror.

Manga

In the premiere act of the Dream saga, Super Sailor Moon is given her own mystical scepter - the Moon Kaleido Scope - to exterminate any adversaries sent by the Dead Moon. It appears to have a mind and will all its own.

Anime

In the anime, Super Sailor Moon mainly uses this attack on the Lemures of the Dead Moon Circus.

The Amazon Trio's Lemures are shown in an aerial view and fade away as they are defeated. The Amazoness Quartet's Lemures are shown in a regular view and shatter into pieces instead. She can only use the attack when Super Sailor Chibi Moon uses Twinkle Yell to summon Pegasus, who then used the power of his golden horn to enable Super Sailor Moon to use its great power.

In Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie, Super Sailor Moon performed this attack along with Super Sailor Chibi Moon in order to defeat Queen Badiane, which was also great enough to obliterate her Black Hole Hole along with her.

Musicals

In the musicals, Moon Gorgeous Meditation could be performed with either the Moon Kaleido Scope or with the Eternal Tiare.

In the musical "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon ~ The Advent of Princess Kakyuu - The Second Stage Final," Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon performed an upgraded version this attack called "Moon Gorgeous Double Meditation."

Video Games

In the video games, this attack is performed by Super Sailor Moon in Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatsusen and its sequel Sailor Moon SuperS: Zenin Sanka!! Shuyaku Soudatsusen. She uses her Kaleido Moon Scope to fire a ball of energy at the target.

Trivia

  • In the first two English dubbed episodes of Sailor Moon SuperS, before Pegasus charged up Sailor Moon's brooch, this attack was dubbed "Moon Super Moon Target" and "Super Moon Target" in the first and second episodes respectively. In the original Japanese version, she didn't say anything about the attack before she received the power from Pegasus.
  • In the 2005 film War of the Worlds, this attack could be heard playing on TV in the background during one scene.
