Template:InfoboxPhrase Mercury Star Power, Make Up was the second phrase used by Ami Mizuno which allowed her to transform into Sailor Mercury. It first appeared in the anime in episode 62, and Act 15 in the manga.

Transformation sequence in the anime

In this transformation, Ami holds up her hand as a stream of blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting on her fingertips and turning them light blue. Her Star Power Stick appears, spinning, and as she takes a hold of it the Mercury symbol in the center of the star begins to spin. She then swept the stick over her head and around her body while a stream of blue water emitted from it, forming her leotard, gloves and boots. A sparkling ripple expanded over her body, and a rush of bubbles formed the rest of her sailor fuku, and Sailor Mercury assumes her finishing pose.

Transformation sequence in the manga

Mercury Star Power is almost identical in the anime to Mercury Power, except that the ribbons are a darker blue and Mercury poses against her symbol at the end instead of a plain background. The beginning is also different, featuring Mercury lifting her hand, while blue sparks fly in and paint her nails blue. Her pen then appears upside down, and she twirls it around, as her Mercury symbol flies out. In the manga, the transformation is still instant, just with a different pen (and she holds it up instead of holding it across her chest).

Transformation sequence in the Sailor_Moon_R_(Nintendo_Game_Boy)

Used to transform into Sailor Mercury in the Sailor Moon R game for the game console Super Nintendo. This transformation does not appear in the anime. Ami shouts out, "Mercury Star Power, Make-Up!" while posing and the screen turns white and Ami instantly transform into Sailor Mercury.

Trivia

  • When the last 17 episodes of the R season were dubbed into English, this transformation included footage from Sailor Mercury's previous transformation "Mercury Power, Make Up".
