"Mars Crystal Power, Make Up" is the final transformation phrase used by Rei Hino to transform into her Sailor Guardian form: Sailor Mars in the manga, 90s anime, crystal, and musicals.

Manga[]

This is Rei's fourth and final transformation phrase. She uses this phrase with her Mars Crystal to transform into Sailor Mars. Initially, it turns her into her Super form and later into her Eternal form after she powers up Sailor Moon's Holy Moon Chalice using the power of Phobos and Deimos Castle.

In Act 41, Rei is trapped in a Mirror house by PallaPalla and is incapacitated after failing to transform with Mars Planet Power, Make Up. She sends Tiger's Eye to finish her but Phobos and Deimos drive him away and appear in their human form. They give Rei her Mars Crystal and Mars Arrow. Rei regains the ability to transform into Super Sailor Mars using this phrase and her Sailor Crystal. Using her new attack Mars Flame Sniper she destroys Tiger’s Eye and the Mirror House while saving her friends as well.

In Act 49 of the Dream Arc, Rei raised her hand and yelled Mars Crystal Power to give power to Eternal Sailor Moon’s Eternal Tiare and transformed into Eternal Sailor Mars for the first time.

She uses the phrase Mars Crystal Power, Make Up to transform into her Eternal form in Act 50 along with the other Inner Senshi because of the appearance of Sailor Iron Mouse. The last time she transformed in the Stars Arc is with Venus in Act 52, in front of the Three Lights to confirm that they are Sailor Senshi like them.

Anime[]

This is Rei's third and final transformation phrase she uses to turn into Super Sailor Mars. This transformation sequence is very similar to Sailor Mars' two previous ones with very few differences, the main one being that a bow and arrow appeared behind her at the end of the transformation as opposed to her planetary symbol.

Rei holds up the Crystal Change Rod, and the red crystal with a Mars symbol and a bow and arrow attach to it. Her fingertips while carrying her Crystal Change Rod are revealed to be bright red. She then turned around as streamers of fire and flames emitted from the Rod, which finally coalesced into several rings around her body. The rings contracted and became the various pieces of her regular Sailor fuku, and Super Sailor Mars assumed her finishing pose.
