Kyuusuke Sarashina is a classmate and friend of Chibiusa and Momoko Momohara. Although he was friends with Chibiusa and Momoko, he tended to bicker with the two girls, and he was very athletic.

In Sailor Moon R, he teases Chibiusa for her size until Momoko tells him to stop and hits him on the head and forces him to apologize. He also visited Lilica Hubert's house in the anime, and was targeted for his Dream Mirror by JunJun in the SuperS season, but not before she helped him overcome his fear of the box horse.
