King Endymion is the name taken by Mamoru Chiba during the reign of Neo-Queen Serenity in the distant future. He did not appear for very long in either the anime or manga, so there is very little known about him. He was always seen wearing a lavender tuxedo and a white mask.

Manga
King Endymion's first appearance is in Act 19. He is not actually in a physical form but a spiritual entity guarding the Crystal Palace while his real body sleeps. During this time he helps to guide the Sailor Senshi and his past self against the Black Moon Clan. It is then revealed to the Senshi that Mamoru never aged due to the Silver Crystal's power. It is the ghost of King Endymion who instructs Tuxedo Mask in the first use of his attack "Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber."
Prince Endymion becomes King at the end of the battle with the Dead Moon Circus when Helios, the priest of his former home, Elysion, hands him his sacred Golden Crystal atop his king's staff. After this, both Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon turn into their respective future selves, all of the Sailor Senshi transform into their princess forms. However, after this point, Mamoru is not seen in this form again.
Anime
During the second season of the anime, King Endymion sent nightmares to his past self, which caused Mamoruto break up with (and act cold towards) Usagi in order to prevent her from being killed as was depicted in his dreams. This was, however, not the King's intent; he wanted Mamoru and Usagi's bond to be stronger in order to help them survive the onslaught of the Black Moon Clan and Wiseman .
The anime shows King Endymion only in the future as the father of Small Lady and the King of Crystal Tokyo. He also appears as a computerized image when they first meet him. However, he is never shown to fight in battle. Diana makes a comment about the future King and Queen. She says that the King and Queen like to fake being sick to be excused from attending important banquets and meetings.
Crystal
After being the beloved Prince of the Earth, he had eventually married his one true love, Princess Serenity of the Moon, and ascended the throne; where people of both the Moon and Earth could coexist in peace and harmony called Crystal Tokyo. It was then that he received mighty revitalizing power from the Silver Crystal and thus became ageless and an extended lifespan; capable of living for one thousand years.
In Season 2, King Endymion is the future self of Tuxedo Mask in the prosperous future of Earth 1,000 years later. He is a kind and generous ruler and loves his queen and daughter very, very much and would do anything to ensure their safety and well-being. He was one of the very few survivors of the catastrophe that had rendered all of his people and beloved queen incapacitated by the Malefic Black Crystal's vastly powerful and deadly venom. He resides within the ruined castle of his kingdom and is comforted and advised by Diana, who aids in watching over the sleeping form of his dear wife. As his physical body, too, is in a comatose state, he was able to astral project his own spirit/soul from his substantial form to help any way he could; by way of a ghost.
In "Transformation: Super Sailor Moon,"he was seen in a flashback of Sailor Chibi Moon's, who had assured her that Sailor Moon was the most invincible of all Sailor Guardians.
Abilities and Powers
His special abilities are largely vague, but he is able to perform a dual attack of their strongest attack, Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber with his younger self.
The special properties of his mystic staff are unknown.

- In the original anime, his cloaked robe was a pale violet-purple color as opposed to pure white.
