- Her "sentient frog shirt" is in reference to the 1970s manga Dokonjo Gaeru, about a boy who has a sentient frog who lives and reacts on a shirt he wears.
- KeroKero Musume singing scales as she appears as a tadpole is in reference to the pun of "otamajakushi", a word that can be used either for "tadpole" or "musical note".
