Ikuko Tsukino is Usagi Tsukino's mother in the present age. This is the first depiction of the character created by Naoko Takeuchi
Nomenclature & Etymology
Etymology
The name Ikuko means "education" (育) (iku) and "child" (子) (ko). Ikuko's surname Tsukino means "moon" (月) (tsuki) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
