Shinonzaki is one of Makoto's friends. He appears in the episode "For Whom is the White Rose? The Moonlight Knight Appears".

Shinozaki was one of Makoto Kino's childhood friends. It was he who comforted her after Makoto was rejected by her senpai, and Makoto has been close to him since. However, she makes it clear that she only views him as a close friend; in fact, "closer than any lover." He is attacked by Ail and An and suffers a near-death experience causing him to bleed out. Makoto was so dedicated to protect him she immediately offered to donate her own blood to save his life.
