Mika Kayama (香山 みか Kayama Mika) is a young award-winning maker of French dolls, the daughter of Yoshiko Kayama, one of Shingo Tsukino's friends in the anime and a student at Juban Public Elementary School. She is in Shingo's class and his friend, although he has a crush on her.

Mika is a cute young girl with shoulder-length brown hair that has two small bows on both sides and blue eyes
She is always seen wearing neat dresses.

Mika first appeared in episode 5. She convinced Shingo to go to Pet Shop Perfume (unaware it was a scheme by the Dark Kingdom), where they both took home Chanelas, who hypnotized them. Later, Sailor Moon was forced to fight them (who had been zombified), though she successfully healed them and ended Jadeite's scheme.
She reappeared in episode 18 taking a more prominent role; here, she tried to lend her French doll that won a contest to Shingo. Unfortunately, due to some friends teasing him, he pushed it into her hands and accidentally dropped it, breaking it. Mika was very upset over this, and though she didn't tell her mother about the event when questioned, she revealed she kept it in a drawer, crying over it. Later in the episode, she was targeted for her energy by Masoto Sanjoin, who requested she make ten dolls for an exhibition.
Despite her mother's worries, she completed the dolls in time for the exhibition, though her energy was stolen by Jumou. Later she and Shingo saw Sailor Moon, who saved them. Afterward, she made Shingo a Sailor Moon doll in class, though she became jealous after believing he liked it more than her, and walked off.
Etymology[]
- Mika's surname Kayama means "fragrance, fragrant" (香) (ka) and "mountain, hill" (山) (yama).

- Mika is one of the few characters-of-the-day to reappear later in the series.
- In the original DiC dub, Mika keeps her first name, but gains the last name of "Cassidy".
