Mayumi Osaka is the mother of Naru Osaka and the owner of the jewelry store OSA-P in the 90's anime.
Appearance[]
Mayumi has short orange-brown curly hair (the same color as her daughter) and wears a purple sleeved dress with a black line going down the center. She also wears jewelry including teal earrings, a gold necklace and white heels.
Information[]
Mayumi is the first human in the anime to be targeted by a villain. Jadeite's Youma Morga captures and impersonates her while trying to gather human energy for the Dark Kingdom. While she doesn't appear herself in the first episode, this is the first episode in which the audience sees what she looks like.
In episode 23, a flashback reveals she showed Naru a rare crystal that had a silvery shine; Naru later mistook this for the Silver Crystal and stole it in order to give to Nephrite in his guise as Masato Sanjouin. She also appeared in episode 43, in which she and her daughter were attacked by Oniwabandana. She later appears again in episode 47, when Naru was attacked by the Cardian Vampir.

- In the DiC English dub of the anime, her name is changed to Susan Baker.
- In the video game Sailor Moon: Another Story, Mayumi and Naru are attacked at the beginning of the game by Cenicienta but are saved by Sailor Moon. She expresses her gratitude and spends the rest of the game as the clerk at Osa-P, selling various items.
- Despite being targeted (to impersonate her) by the enemy, Mayumi never had her energy stolen. The opposite is true of her daughter.
- She is one of few actual characters that a monster-of-the-day has impersonated rather than making up a persona, another being Mikan Shiratori.
