Yoshiki Kurebayashi is a botanist who only appeared in episode 116 of the anime.

Nomenclature & Etymology[]

Etymology[]

The kanji in his family name means "twilight (暮, Kure) and "forest" (林, Hayashi).

Appearance[]

Kurebayashi was a man with dark brown hair and tanned skin who wore glasses. His outfit consisted of a yellow plaid shirt with a green vest, blue pants with a belt, and black boots, as well as a straw sunhat.

Mamoru took Usagi, Hotaru, Chibiusa, and Luna to his upperclassman's botany garden while they were on a picnic for lunch. He was also Mimete's target for his Pure Heart Crystal.

Up in the greenhouse, Mimete looks over them and is about to release the new Daimon when she's reminded of Professor Tomoe telling her to not fail this time, Mimete found herself conflicted, Which is about when she spots Mamoru and has another crisis of loyalty. Obey her boss, or steal the hot dude’s heart?

When hail broke parts of the ceiling in the greenhouse and he went to fix them, Mimete threw a sledgehammer at the ladder, causing Kurebayashi and Hotaru to fall. She then unleashed the Daimon, U-Baulla. It grabbed him and removed his Pure Heart Crystal. After a brief battle, the Daimon was destroyed by Rainbow Moon Heartache, and Kurebayashi's crystal was returned to him.

He had a large family with six children, and his wife was shown pregnant.

  • According to his files on Mimete's computer, Kurebayashi's height is 189 cm and his weight is 82 kg.
  • He was never referred to by name in the episode. Mamoru only called him "Sempai" (upperclassman).
  • In the Netflix's subtitles, his name was erroneously translated as "Katsumi Kurebayashi" on Mimete's computer.
