"Jupiter Crystal Power, Make Up" is the final transformation phrase used by Makoto Kino to transform into her Sailor Guardian form: Sailor Jupiter in the manga, 90s anime, crystal, and musicals.
Manga and Crystal[]
This is the transformation phrase Makoto uses with her Jupiter Crystal. It initially allows her to regain her ability to transform into her Super form and later it allows her to take her Eternal form after she powers up Sailor Moon's Holy Moon Chalice using the power of Io Castle.
This transformation was first used by Makoto Kino in Act 42 of the manga. She received the Jupiter Crystal from her Sailor Power Guardian, Guardian Jupiter, while under attack from the Hawk's Eye and the Amazoness Quartet. She also received her new attack Jupiter Oak Evolution along with it.
In Act 49 of the Dream Arc, Makoto raised her hand and yelled “Jupiter Crystal Power!” to give power to Eternal Sailor Moon’s Eternal Tiare. Afterward, she transformed into a form similar to Eternal Sailor Moon's called Eternal Sailor Jupiter.
The phrase “Jupiter Crystal Power, Make Up!” was only used by Makoto to transform into her Eternal Sailor form in act 50 when Sailor Iron Mouse appeared.
Anime[]
It was used by Makoto to transform into Super Sailor Jupiter. While Makoto gained the Crystal Change Rod in episode 143, this transformation was not shown until episode 154. She received the upgrade from Pegasus.
The transformation would begin where the green crystal ball with the Jupiter symbol and a ring of oak leaves would appear. She would then hold up the "rod" part, and the crystal would attach itself to it. Her nails would turn lime green, and the symbol of Jupiter would spin. Makoto would then spin around as streams of green electricity emerged from the rod. Then, she would hold still, and the energy formed rings around her. In a flash, she was clothed in her Super Sailor uniform and finished with her pose.
