Summary[]

One of Queen Beryl's youma offers to help Jadeite with his plans. Rei wins tickets on a luxury cruise ship and, since she has no boyfriend, asks Ami to accompany her. A jealous Usagi sneaks aboard after them.

Plot[]

Jadeite looks back on his recent defeats, when approached by Thetis, who he despises and would be getting in the way. She proposes a perfect plan to steal energy, a cruise for couples.

Usagi sees this advertised on television, and discusses with Naru about her dream to steal the opportunity. Umino hears them, and reveals he had tickets, though gave them to a neighbour because he’s a minor. There's a chance to still obtain the tickets, as a lottery which the winner gets two tickets is being held at Juban Shopping District.

She tries winning, though loses ten times at the lottery and gives up. Rei walks past and Usagi complains to her about how many times she's lost. Instead of sympathising, she tells her as a guardian they need to focus on more important things. Rei then purchases a play for herself, using her psychic powers to cheat, and winning the grand prize. Usagi begs Rei to take her, suggesting they could go together, as they both lack a boyfriend. Rei makes a comment that unlike her she can easily get a date before it happens. Luna asks them to stop fighting, and Ami asks what's going on. Rei sees Ami and asks her to follow along, leaving Usagi behind.

Sitting at the Café, Rei tells Ami all about the cruise and fantasises about getting a hot date, Usagi listens in from the booth behind them. Later, using the Disguise Pen Usagi transforms into a photographer, sneaking on board the ship before it takes off. However, it is an illusion created by Jadeite and Thetis, it's really an abandoned ship enchanted with her magic.

Ami and Rei notice they are the only ones without dates, all the guys are taken to Rei's disappointment. Usagi runs into the engine room, and Luna comments that the engines are unusually quiet. A disguised Jadeite appears, telling her the area is restricted. Usagi falls for him immediately, thinking he’d made a great boyfriend. She makes the excuse she separated from her crew, as he escorts her out. Luna reports a presence of dark energy after he departs, and both spy on Jadeite and Thetis.

Thetis announces a dance in the reception hall, Ami and Rei hear this and plan to attend, and Luna suggests to Usagi the monsters would probably be there. Thetis uses a disco ball to steal energy from everyone, though as this only drains energy from those in love, Ami and Rei aren’t affected. Jadeite sees the two girls, telling Thetis she made a miscalculation during planning. Thetis commands the crew members to attack, who turn out to be golems created by her magic. As the golems attack Ami and Rei, Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon and steps into the scene.

Thetis pushes Sailor Moon through a window, before shooting deadly water from the ocean at her. Inside, Sailor Mars obliterates the golems with her Fire Soul attack. Her and Sailor Mercury then pursue Thetis to help Sailor Moon, using Bubble Spray and Fire Soul to incapacitate her. Sailor Moon finally defeats Thetis once and for all with Moon Tiara Action.

The Sailor Guardians are confronted by Jadeite, but he’s teleported to the Dark Kingdom before he can deliver a death blow to them. Queen Beryl chastises Jadeite for having another plan foiled, and for the unpermitted use of her personal Youma. She ends the conversation by telling him that she'll hear his excuses at the palace. Meanwhile, the ship returns to the ruins it once was, and emergency rescue boats come to save everyone. The episode ends with Rei and Usagi hoping to find future romance, while Ami sticks to her books, exasperating Luna.
