"The Targeted Kindergarteners: Venus to the Rescue" is the 6th episode of Sailor Moon R and the 52nd episode overall. It aired in Japan on April 24, 1993. The DiC English title is "Kindergarten Chaos" and it aired on November 29, 1995.
Summary[]
Minako becomes entangled with a kindergarten student who worships Sailor Moon, just as the aliens chose to target younger victims for their energy.
Plot[]
Minako sleeps in and starts rushing to make it to school on time. Artemis introduces himself and his partner as she scrambles to Shiba Koen Public Middle School. While running, she spots two boys bullying a girl, Mie Sayama, and Minako scares them off. The girl was pretending to cry to get Minako to help her. After being threatened by the child, Minako accompanies her to her bus stop and sees her off. While running to school, Minako spots Usagi running to her own school. Both girls are late.
An interrupts Ail from flirting with Usagi and they decide to target a younger source of energy. After school, Minako and Artemis see Mie being bullied again by a group of boys who don't think Sailor Moon is real and Minako interrupts again. They introduce each other and find Mie is a big Sailor Moon fan but has never heard of Sailor V. They spend the evening at the park and Minako reassures Mie that Sailor Moon is real and promises to come to the child's show and tell the next day. At the Makai Tree, the aliens pick their next Cardian, Gigaros, who attacks a school bus filled with children and steals their energy.
Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Luna discuss the attacks in the paper and decide Usagi, who isn't paying attention, should investigate. At the Primary School, none of the kids believe Minako. Minako volunteers to ride on Mie's bus as her teacher can't. Usagi is nearby and resolves to sneak on using her Disguise Pen to pretend she is a substitute kindergarten teacher. Minako recognises her and they entertain the kids together keeping and eye out for an attack.
When Gigaros shows up, they reassure Mie that Sailor Moon will save them and out of sight Usagi transforms and shows herself. The kids who doubted Mie and Minako now believe them. Sailor Venus joins with Crescent Beam but finds her attack is ineffective. Moonlight Knight throws a white rose to interrupt the Cardian and tells the girls to believe in themselves and listen to the children cheering them on. Sailor Venus stuns the monster with Crescent Beam Barrage and Sailor Moon finishes it with Moon Princess Halation. The children cheer them on and the Sailor Senshi return to the bus.
Later on, Mie tells Minako how cool Sailor Moon and Venus were and that she is becoming a Venus fan too.
