Nomenclature & Etymology[]
Etymology[]
Doburin is a pun on the Japanese word 溝 (dobu), which means “drain” or “gutter”.
Appearance[]
She has purple skin, with webbed fin like ears. She wears a black one piece swimsuit with a red symbol, a green and yellow swim cap, a pink snorkel and black goggles. And wears an oxygen tank on her back and two lifesaver floaties. Her Daimon star tattoo is located on her forehead, under her swim cap. She is bald.
Information[]
Doburin was created by Kaolinite from water in a pool just after Ami and Michiru raced in the aforementioned pool. She attacked Ami and immobilized her in amber-like water to remove her Pure Heart Crystal. After she extracted the Pure Heart, she lost it to Tuxedo Mask and was knocked into the water. Luna and Artemis bit her life raft and popped it, causing her to nearly drown, and Sailor Moon used this opportunity to destroy her with Moon Spiral Heart Attack.
Powers[]
Doburin can shoot water at her enemies from her mouth, manipulate the water to trap people, or trap them with one of the life preservers on her body. The water that she manipulates can be used to generate whirlpools to pull people underwater or be thrown and manipulated outside of the pool she was generated from. She can also solidify this water into a yellow wax-like substance to prevent people from moving.
