Given that Castor and Pollux are bound together by a strong friendship, this gave Nephrite (Neflite) the illusion that this bound would provide them with the power that is "several levels greater than the sailor warriors". These youma's demonstrate this power to the viewers of the episode by using the yellow ribbon that they are bound from, as a symbol of their friendship, teamwork and resolve. Whilst the youmas are bound by this ribbon, they are both unstoppable and powerful; as they immediately engage in battle. The youma Castor first mimics Sailor Mars's Fire Soul (Mars Fire Ignite) attack followed by the youma Pollux who mimics Sailor Mercury's Sabão Spray (Mercury Bubbles) attack. As both these mimicked attacks are aimed towards Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars; the trio are confused by the ease in which their attacks were mimicked by the youmas and used against them. Both the youmas Castor and Pollux would have actually defeated Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars had it not been for their bickering over who gets to finish off their opponents. The ferocity of their bickering was such that not only did "they forget about the presence of their adversaries "; they also terKILLED!minated their friendship thus causing "their tails, which had previously been tied together" to break apart. The distraction created from their bickering gave Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars the opportunity to "mount a counterattack" combining all three of their attacks (Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara Action, Sailor Mercury’s Sabão Spray [Mercury Bubbles] attack and Sailor Mars's Fire Soul [Mars Fire Ignite] attack) into one. Template:Monster-of-the-day

Castor and Pollux (Gemini Warriors) hold many distinctions: they are the first monster-of-the-day to appear in a group in the Sailor Moon series, the last youmas to be summoned by Nephrite (Neflite) through his intonation with the stars and the the last youmas to gather energy for reawakening the ruler of the Dark Kingdom (Negaverse) Queen Metallia (Negaforce).

After consulting with the stars within the Gemini constellation regarding his next target (Hiromi [Laurie] Matsuno), Nephrite (Neflite) decided that the time was right for him to use his two powerful youmas Castor and Pollux.

Nephrite who disguised himself as Masato Sanjoin (Maxfield Stanton) implanted via his evil crest his youmas Castor and Pollux inside the stub of an animator's pencil belonging to (Hiromi [Laurie] Matsuno), thereby obnoxiously competing against her friend Kazuko (Cassie) Tadashita as she perfects her animations of Sailor V. "Once Hiromi reaches her productive peak, Castor and Pollux immediately emerge from the pencil and drain all of the girl's energy. Kazuko (Cassie) Tadashita, Rei (Raye) Hino, Ami Mizuno (Amy Anderson) and Usagi (Serena) Tsukino are all on the scene. Kazuko (Cassie) faints, and the girls take the opportunity to transform and challenge the youma[1]."

The ferocity of their bickering was such that not only did "they forget about the presence of their adversaries [2]"; they also terminated their friendship thus causing "their tails, which had previously been tied together" to break apart. The distraction created from their bickering gave Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars the opportunity to "mount a counterattack[3]" combining all three of their attacks (Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara Action, Sailor Mercury’s Sabão Spray [Mercury Bubbles] attack and Sailor Mars's Fire Soul [Mars Fire Ignite] attack) into one. "Unfortunately for Castor and Pollux, they realised too late that they should have valued their friendship more and, because of their petty squabbling, they are instantly destroyed and the lost energy of Hiromi (Laurie) Matsuno is returned to her[4]". Hiromi (Laurie) Matsuno takes the opportunity to appologise to Kazuko (Cassie) Tadashita for her behaviour and together they rekindle their friendship, whilst Nephrite (Neflite) plots his next move for underestimating Sailor Moon and her associates.
