Pretty Solider Sailor Moon was a video game for arcade machines that was released in 1995 in Japan by Banpresto. It was supervised by Naoko Takeuchi and the voices for the Senshi characters were provided by the anime voice actors. The game exists in two versions: 95/03/22 and 95/03/22B.

Overview

The game is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up game, one or two players pick the Senshi they want to be and travel through various stages defeating enemies. Items are sometimes dropped by enemies that can range from items that restore health, give extra points, or crystals that allow the Senshi to do special attacks. Up to five crystals can be collected per player to power up the Senshi's special attacks. During the most difficult moments in battle Tuxedo Mask will appear and throw a rose, which is a bonus to pick up and depart.

Enemies

Regular Enemies

Youma appeared in the game as regular enemies and bosses.

Bosses

Stages

Azabu-Juuban - The Senshi fought in a street with houses against Youma. Castor and Pollux appeared as bosses in this stage.

OSA-P - The Senshi fought their way through the streets of the business area, Fruits Parlor Crown could be seen in the background. Whey they reached the Osa-P jewellers shop and headed inside they saw Naru being strangled by Morga, disguised as [[|Mayumi Osaka|Naru's mother]]. Once she transformed back into her Youma form she became the boss enemy for the stage. This stage was followed by a cutscene where Queen Beryl and Jadeite talked in her throne room.

Tokyo Tower - The Senshi fought their way through through back alleys before they came across Kyruene in a junkyard, who appeared as the boss for the stage. When her health was halfway depleted, she would fly away to Tokyo Tower, where the Senshi followed her and continued the fight.

Crystal Seminar - The Senshi fought in the halls of the Crystal Seminar. During their fight they would fall down into a cellar where they rescued students who were trapped inside Shape Ray pods. Finally, they reached the computer room where the Garoben, the boss, was holding Umino. The room is the same from episode 8 where Usagi fought Garoben in the anime.

Docks - The Senshi fought on the docks against regular enemies along with possessed humans. Zoisite was the final boss for the stage and once his health was halfway depleted, he would escape and the stage would end. The docks were the same ones that appeared in episode 33.

Nephrite's Mansion - The Senshi fought their way through a forest before they reached the mansion where Nephrite asked the stars for advice in the anime. The boss for the stage was "Twin Kyulene".

Game Center Crown - An Ohara was holding her cat Rhett Butler when Zoisite appeared and turned the cat into Bakene. The Senshi chased Bakene through Game Center Crown and a supermarket, before the battle started in the streets. After Bakene was defeated, he would turn back into Rhett Butler and An would show up to take him.

D Point - The Senshi fought in the North Pole. Halfway through the stage, Zoisite and Kunzite appeared to fight as mini-bosses for the stage. The battle took place in the tunnel from episode 44. After that in Queen Beryl's throne room she was the final boss. Once she was defeated the credits played.
