Appearance[]
Artemis is a tomcat with short white fur, blue eyes, and long whiskers. Like Luna, he has a golden crescent moon on his forehead. He is occasionally depicted to be slightly bigger than Luna, although at other points they appear roughly the same size.
Personality[]
Just like in the manga, Artemis is portrayed as a slightly lazy and lovesick father figure to Minako. He often gets into trouble with Luna, and at one point is banished from her presence for looking at a nun; although he was actually looking at the church and 'hoping to one day get married there'. He is also occasionally teased by the Sailor Guardians as being somewhat clumsy, lazy, and useless at times, particularly in Artemis's Adventure: The Monster Animal Kingdom.
Artemis still does his best to help Minako realize and chase her dreams; sometimes pulling notebooks and audition papers out of her desk and submitting them in her place. When Minako is upset about not finding anyone to be in love with, Artemis gives her a bouquet of flowers and offers to go on a "date" with her, which she accepts.
Artemis has the odd habit of turning off Minako's alarm clock, hugging it and carrying it into her bed, thus being the major reason for Minako being late for school more often than not.
Information[]
Sailor Moon[]
Artemis makes his first physical cameo on a poster in episode 21, though he actually appears long before this in episode 8 (albeit only his voice, which is distorted by a voice modifier). Luna secretly finds a contact to feed her information about the Dark Kingdom through a Sailor V game in the arcade.
He later officially introduces himself along with Sailor V/Sailor Venus, introducing her as the last Sailor Guardian to join the team. He later rejoins the other Sailor Guardians to complete their introduction into the team, telling the others to meet him at Hikawa Shrine the following day for a meeting.
While this is inconsistent, Artemis seems to have sealed away Luna's memories of Princess Serenity, which return to her once the Princess awakens. After this, he and Minako inform the others of their past lives on Silver Millennium.
Sometime after, Luna discovers that he is the "secret contact" providing her information, much to her aggravation.
At the end of the season, he worries along with Luna that the Earth will be destroyed; however, he stops Luna from going to the Arctic, believing it’s futile, as well as due to Luna's injuries.
After everyone is reborn, he hopefully believes everyone will meet again despite having lost their memories.
Sailor Moon R[]
He and Luna worry about the new enemies and despite Usagi's reawakening, insist on awakening the other Sailor Guardians. While Usagi tries to handle it herself, they ultimately grow worried and restore the other girls' memories to fight again.
Later, Usagi and Chibiusa chastise him for being clumsy, and he stands up to a Droid to protect Luna, although he must be rescued by Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon Super[]
When Minako worries that she'll never find a boyfriend due to her Sailor Guardian duties, Artemis wishes to help her feel better. At the end of the episode, he gifts her a bouquet of flowers and asks Minako out, who accepts.
Artemis has a heart-to-heart talk with Minako, about why she feels that she isn't pure-hearted enough to be targeted by the enemy, which culmulates in Minako intentionally attempting to get her Pure Heart targeted. While the others are doubtful, Artemis assures them that Minako is pure-hearted "in her own way."
Sailor Moon Supers[]
Artemis meets his future daughter, Diana, who came from Crystal Tokyo. Luna gets angry at Artemis, thinking he has relations with another kitten, but she’s surprised when realizes it’s theirs together.

Movies[]
In Sailor Moon Super: The Movie, he tries to walk Luna home while she’s sick, but she insists that she’ll go alone. Later, he confesses that he "should’ve walked her home", so he gets the girls to find her.
