Anza Ooyama, also romanized as Anza Ohyama, and currently known as ANZA, was the first actress to play Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon in the musicals, and she is the longest-running actress to play Sailor Moon. 

Anza is also the fifth longest-running performer overall with 382 musicals, and is tied with Ayako Morino. During the musicals, she was a member of the Sakurakko Club and its spin-off duo MOMO, and was one of the five members of Moon Lips.

After graduating from the musicals, Anza has also starred in other musicals. Formerly, Anza was the lead singer in the band Vitamin-Q after joining them in 2008 but the group soon ceased after one of the members commited suicide. Currently she is a singer and a musician; the lead vocalist for the band Head Phones President.[2]



  • Anza was born to a Japanese father and a White South African mother of Spanish descent.
  • Anza's younger sister, Chiho, played Sailor Jupiter in one musical in 1998, but it was the first musical after Anza had graduated.
